Measure or model processing energy, gases, particulates and other pollutants.
Actual substitution
Identify which conventional product or fuel is displaced and under what conditions.
Lifecycle accounting
Document greenhouse-gas boundaries, assumptions and uncertainty ranges.
Carbon credits are not assumed
Eligibility for any carbon-credit mechanism depends on an applicable methodology, additionality, monitoring, validation and verification. Solid fuels that are eventually burned are not automatically permanent carbon removal.
